A Day in the Life

Since I work full time in an office, I sit in front of a computer at least eight hours a day. Not helpful if you are trying to lose weight. I have to be extra careful of every morsel I put in my mouth and I have to make myself exercise as soon as I get off work, or it will NOT happen! Everyday, to keep me accountable mostly, I am going to keep a diary of what I consume as well as record any weight loss (or gain--yikes!) and what I did for exercise that day.

Here goes...

Wednesday, Feb 23rd
Weight: 212 lbs.
Exercise: went on approx 2 mile walk

Breakfast: 2 slices of multi-grain bread with 3 tbsp natural peanut butter, 2 cups regular coffee with about 4 tsp white chocolate macadamia nut creamer (hey, I'm not perfect!)
Snack: Special K granola bar, water
Lunch: approx 4 oz. grilled chicken breast, about a handful of pasta with cheese sauce, grilled zucchini, 2 pita wedges, about a handful of ranch potatoes, 8 oz sweet tea, 1 (90 cal.) weight watchers choc. chip cookie (we had lunch brought in for us at work-it was not all good for me, but it was free!)
Snack: 2 or 3 handfuls of Cinnamon Cheerios (I know, I should have stopped at 1 handful, but I was beyond stressed!)
Dinner: Deluxe Chick-fil-A sandwich with wheat bun and American cheese, large sweet tea

Analysis: All in all, I didn't do too awfully bad, but  I should have cut back on my portions and not eaten so many carbs and sugar. At least I walked! Also, I should chew gum or take a break when I feel stressed, not cram more food in my mouth!
